We had 2 more nice bass weighed in from a kayak off Ortley Beach 29.3 and 26.3#... Crabbing is a lttle slow with the Dock crabbers averaging 1-2 dozen and the rental boats coming in with2-4 dozen...John

The surf report seems to be in the same mode it's been for the last few days. Except for a change in wind direction, Blue fish and keeper bass are being taken on bait and metal for those anglers willing to put in the time. The bay has given up a few weakfish in the 16" to 18" size on cut bunker, small blues are still chasing poppers while the crabbing has been steady from our boats and the dock. John Yac

Cocktail blues were the word at the Casino Fishing Pier yesterday afternoon. The 2-4 lb fish came in thick on the incoming tides nailing metals tipped with a bucktail. There were also a few cow nose rays landed as well. Crabbing on the dock here was so so but the rental boats did a little better. Snapper blues are starting to show up around the docks but are still very small. Scott

Beautiful morning here on the island...Winds are still NE but very light at this time and the Sun has returned to the sky!!! Small blues continue to be caught on metal, bucktails and poppers in Barnegat inlet from the rocks... John
