Happy Father's Day! To all the great dads out there, this is our day. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who got their children into this great sport of ours, for in them I future lies. Medium size blues invaded our dock last night and the bite is still going on this morning. A nice little father's day gift for those who enjoy catching these scrappy fellows... John Yac

Fishing Report

Things were kinda slow yesterday out front. No bait in the wash to speak of, or schools of bunker just outside the bar. The bite in the back bay was also slow, small blues and small bass were playing hard to find. Small to keeper size fluke were being taken in the areas of the BB and BI buoys. Crabbing is slow getting started... John Yac

Fishing Report

The secret to success yesterday in the surf was to get your baits passed a gang of hungry sand sharks with some rays mixed in just to add to the challenge! But a few persistent anglers hung in there and were rewarded with some nice keeper bass and fluke. Case in point, a nice 41" - 22 lb. bass was weighed in at a local scale which proves there is still fish out there. So try bait, if your not inclined to and stick it out when battling bye catch species... John Yac

Fishing Report

A few more anglers out yesterday and yes more lines in the water, more fish landed. Some nice size bass mixed in with the usual shorts yesterday. Add to that small to medium size blues and a few nice keeper fluke. The lions share of fish caught yesterday were taken on bait. Yes bunker and clams the one two punch followed by stripped squid. Crabbing out back remains slow... John Yac

Fishing Report

The beach bite of bass, blues and fluke continued yesterday out front. Bait remains the way to go on all three species. Cut bunker, clams, squid strips tipped with spearing or killies (if you can find them) are the baits of choice. Artificial choices remain from SP minnow style swimmers, poppers, and buck tails tipped with gulp, pork rinds, or otter tails all seem to be producing fish in the right places at the right times...
