Fishing Report

The south winds of yesterday, known for poor surf fishing turned out to be good luck to a couple of anglers willing to put in their time. Two nice keeper bass, 18 lbs. and 28 lbs. fell to cut bunker out front. The bite in the bay is about the same, bluefish and small bass on bait and lures are being taken now and then. Crabbing has yet to start out back, but our boats are in and ready to go! We got a bunch of Van Staal reels and hats in yesterday with with more to come... John Yac

Fishing Report

The surf and bay report is about the same as the past few days. Short to keeper size bass have been falling to bunker and clams alike, mix in some small to slammer size blues and you have the picture. Some nice keeper size fluke have also been taking bait and artificial lures alike in the surf, but the season for these flatties is closed till the 25th of this month, so they must be released unharmed. Still no crabs out back, just babies but that will change any day now. The rental boats are in and ready to go!... John Yac

Fishing Report

Yesterday the fishing out front on bait was good till the wind picked up! Bluefish, bass and black drum were being taken on cut bunker and clams from Lavalette thru IBSP. We finely had some nice blues taken off the dock yesterday on cut bunker. With more favorable winds today the surf fishing should be good! No crabs yet out back!... John Yac

Fishing Report

Yesterday was a good day for sure out front! Bass up to 27 lbs. hit local scales along with bluefish and black drum. The bait guys fishing cut bunker and clams were having some steady action at times, while the plug casters throwing SPs and rubber paddle tail jigs were also seeing some action. We had a nice bluefish come up late yesterday afternoon out back off the dock on cut bunker. It sure looks like things are finally coming together. All we need now is for the crabbing to get started! ... John Yac
