Nice stretch of weather, today thru Sunday! The surf conditions improve with each tide and the winds are also cooperating. No real bite to report in our area, but rumblings from up north sound promising... John Yac

The gale winds yesterday all but shut down surf and boat fishing alike. Winds are forecasted to slow by this afternoon, allowing the shore break to settle down and the water to start cleaning up. We are at the target date for the beginning of the fall bass bite in our area. So as I always say "things can and will change on a dime", stay alert and ready to go!.. John Yac

Just a quick update! The boat guys trolled up, not a lot, but some really large ladies yesterday approaching the 50# class if not 50 plus. These fish were taken just off our beaches. There were also a few small keepers taken on bait in IBSP... John Yac

The waiting game goes on! Yes every year around this time with no real bite to talk about, anglers both surf and boat alike start to become impatient to say the least. With every fishless day that passes we start telling ourselves maybe this is the fall run with no fish for me?? But as always the fish will show up! The surf seems reluctant to clean up and lay down. The one good thing is that the water temperatures are in the low 60's. It's not unfishable by no means, you just have to adjust your lure selections, weights to hold bottom, rod selections, and you're good to go. Schools of bait remain out front, and if you doubt their presence, whales breaching off IBSP yesterday should change your mind... John Yac
