Surf conditions getting better with each tide. NW winds continue, with bait still present. No great bite to report as of yesterday, but with improving surf conditions along with favorable winds, that should change at any time... John Yac

Reset day! With the winds in a more favorable direction and the surf starting to lay down, fishing conditions along the surf line will be back to normal. Still plenty of bait out front with schools of large bunker being reported by the boat guys who got out right before the blow. Don't sit home and wait for the phone to ring! Batten down the hatches today! Strong winds out of the south, with rain mixed in later, will make fishing today uncomfortable to say the least. Bass and small blues are still chasing bait when available out front. The bay is holding small bass around the bridges and some large bluefish are still present, although that bite has slowed down plenty. On the brighter side once this front passes tonight the rest of the week and through the weekend looks great, a little too warm for my taste, but great fishing conditions never the less. We have now added frozen mackerel to our large list of frozen baits. On the live bait scene, we have LIVE EELS, GREEN CRABS, and SAND WORMS for your fishing pleasure...John Yac

No big blitzes yet, but as usual the pick goes on! Some bait out front but no real bite to report. A few small bass and blues are being taken on bait and swimming plugs fished with teasers in front. These fish are right in tight to the beach, so fish your lures till they are high and dry. The night tides are producing a few larger bass on swimming plugs... John Yac

No big schools of bait crashing yesterday but several nice bass found their way to local scale never the less. These fish fell to swimming plugs and bait alike. These early catches are only the tip of the iceberg and due diligence should be given by all serious surf anglers. The early bite this time of year will go on and off like a light switch, so stay ready!... John Yac
