Great weather weekend forecasted! We are hopping the mullet run in our area will finely get started and jump start the surf action. But for now the bay is still producing blues and there is rumors of blow fish in the area of the BB buoy. Crabbing is still slow, but persistence will pay with at least a small catch for the table... Some action out back yesterday again with large bluefish on cut bunker. Meanwhile the surf action remains quit. I'm sure as soon as the mullet run finely gets under way it will spark the surf bite... John Yac

Slammer blues raided our dock yesterday, they arrived around sunset and were in the 7 to 12 lb. range. Cut baits were doing the trick on these fish. There is plenty of bait around in the bay. The mullet run has not started out front yet. But larger blues and some small bass are starting to hang around the inlets awaiting the up coming smorgasbord. Crabbing is less than slow right now but we are hoping for one more good push before it's all over... John Yac

Big blues still roam the back bay! These fish seem to want cut bait only. Anglers throwing artificials are having no luck. Mullet are starting to show in all the early spots now, marking the beginning of their fall run. There are reports of keeper bass starting to be taken in the Manasquan River and nearby areas. Crabbing is hot and cold from our rental boats. The dock remains slow in the crabbing department, while slammer blues and snappers are still available... John Yac
