Fishing Report

With the fluke season in our rear view mirror now we can anticipate the fall migrations of baitfish along our coast. Peanut bunker and mullet are next with large blues followed by the fall run of striped bass, all this fall action is just around the corner. Large blues are still present in the bay and will take just about any cut bait they could find. Still no crabs to talk about but snapper blues are still present... John Yac

LAST DAY! Fluke season 2017 comes to a close at 12:00 midnight tonight so it's your last chance to put some great tasting fillets in your freezer! After you have your limit of fluke come on over to the Dock and due battle with some feisty blues in the 6 to 9 lb. range. This weekend saw another good catch of blues coming off the dock and at the end of our property. No wonder why crabbing has been so off. Blue claws are no match for ravenous bluefish... John Yac

Fishing Report

Once again yesterday, large bluefish in the 6 to 10 lb. range attacked our dock! Anglers of all ages were doing battle with these hard fighting blues. Just one note if you intend to give this a try, leave your snapper rods at home and bring a good medium action rod equipped with a reel that will handle these size fish. Cut bunker seems to be the way to go, you can fish them with or without a float... John Yac Note: For a look at some these fish. Visit our facebook page and give us a like!

Fishing Report

Yesterday AM thru mid day saw a small bluefish blitz right off the end of our dock. Three lucky anglers had all the blues they wanted in the 5 to 8 lb. range. They were the only guys fishing and they were using fresh cut bunker chunks. These blues out back, this time of year, in those numbers, is a first for us. Crabbing still leaves a lot to be desired, while snapper blues are still keeping the kids bussy. Fluke reported in the wash down by the inlet in IBSP. Count down for catching these tasty flatties is only 4 days left... John Yac

Fishing Report

Surf conditions good, just a bit cloudy but very fishable never the less. With just 5 days left in the fluke season, IBSP in the area of the inlet is the place to be. Remember the 2 fish at 16" is still in effect in the park only and only taken from the beach. This time of the year brings visitors up from the south to our beaches, I'm talking redfish! They will hit just about anything but they are hard pressed to pass up a piece of cut mullet fished on a "Hi-Lo" rig. These reds have been taken up to 20 lbs. in the past few seasons...
