To spite yesterday’s crazy weather we had several bass come across our scales with Jim Puhas’s 16.0 lbs leading the pack. All the fish were from Island Beach State Park and were on clams and bunker. As for the crabbing, it has slowed down a bit after the storm and the full moon. John Yac

Crabbing is still going strong. With small blues chasing small top water lures in the bay. The bass pick continues in Island Beach Park on fresh clams and bunker. The fish are from keeper size to the mid teens with the occasional blue fish mixed in. John Yac

For the last 3 days the crabbing has been on fire off our dock and on the rental boats. Every person is averaging a bucket full in just 2 hours. There is one customer on the dock now and he is working on his second bucket full in just 45 min! Fishing from the surf…

Crabbing from the Dock has been excellent with 3 different people scoring a 5 gallon bucket full of keepers in a short time yesterday. Over the weekend the rental boats also had good catches of blueclaws. Overall a great early start to the season…

Yesterdays fishing was consistent with what has been happening. The kayak boys had a early quick bite off Ortley beach area with a 37 lb and a 34 lb bass coming across our scale. The surf gave up some nice keepers both on clams and bunker chunks, with a 8.5 lb blue fish coming out…
