Fluke and blues are still keeping surf anglers busy! Bucktail gulp for the fluke and small to medium size metals, swimmers and poppers will get the attention of the blues which run from snapper to tailor in size. Albies/Bonita will be here before you know it, so it’s not a bad idea to have a rod ready with epoxy jigs and small thin metals to attract those speedsters. The back bays are seeing huge schools of peanut bunker with snapper blues occasionally slashing through. Small spot and blowfish are also in the mix. The crabbing has slowed down as of late. But as crabbing goes, it can heat up again.
