Fishing Report

Rain, Rain Go Away! Radar is showing this wet mess moving out fully by 9 AM and the remainder of the day today thru Sunday looks to be sunny. Sound good just hope they are right for a change. More of the same, blues and fluke by day, sharks and rays by night. Crabbing is so so with still plenty of small snappers around... John Yac

Fishing Report

Fishing remains the same despite the crazy weather! Storms passing thru in and out of our area the past few days had no visible effect on the fishing. Blues are still moving in and out of our inlets and running the nearby beaches. Fluke are ambushing bait in the cuts, but getting to these blues and fluke you have to first get by the schools of cow nose rays cruising our beaches right now. Crabbing in the bay remains a matter of weeding through a ton of shorts to put a catch together. Snappers are still keeping kids and adults alike busy... John Yac

Fishing Report

Along with the usual fishing reports for this time of year, blues, fluke, rays, kingfish, and sharks on the night tides there are always those catches that go unreported. Just a couple to mention, there was a 9.5 lb. blue taken on a chunk of bunker at the end of our dirt road Monday afternoon and a 34 lb. striped bass, yes striped bass taken on salted clams in IBSP Monday evening. Catches like these often go unreported all season long, so it's just a matter of being consistent and don't sit home waiting for the phone to ring! Snapper blues are all over the back bay while the crabbing remains consistent... John Yac

Fishing Report

The blues seem to be back! Snapper size thru 10 lb. bluefish have found there way to IBSP surf. These eating machines have been taking all kinds of cut baits from clams to bunker. Metals and poppers will also do the trick when you find these fish on the feed. Fluke are still in the surf mix just finding them is 90% of the trick in catching them. But they are still suckers for a good old buck tail gulp combo. Crabbing is so so right now with many shorts mixed in with some keepers... John Yac

Fishing Report

Rain gear plus day for sure! It just might be a good day go over your surf gear. Re-organize that plug bag and sharpen or change out those hooks that look less then perfect. Don't forget to check all split rings, snaps and retie all knots. So the next time you step onto the beach you will be more than ready to do battle. Sharking at night remains good. Still some fluke in the surf, thou finding them is the real challenge. Crabs and snapper blues remain the bay attractions... John Yac
