Fishing Report

Thank you my fellow veterans! Today veterans day is a time to reflect upon the sacrifices made by our past and present military, for not for them and their service we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms we have in this country. One the fishing front. Yesterday proved to be a hot day in our area, teen size blues mixed in with keeper bass kept many anglers busy. The lion share of the fish were taken on SP minnows and large popping plugs. If plugging is not your thing clams and cut bunker will put you in the action... John Yac

Fishing Report

The fall bite is on again! Bring your rain gear today while fighting some fall run beauties. Nice size bass are back and along with them are 12 to 15 lb. class blues (real tackle busters), so you better show up prepared for battle. Large popping and swimming plugs are working well on these slammers. While cut bunker and clams still remain your go to baits. Conditions may be a little uncomfortable today but well worth your while... John Yac

Fishing Report

Great fall conditions! Surf conditions are great, air is crisp and there is plenty of bait but the fishing is still a bit slow. The fish we were getting a few days ago was just the first wave in my opinion. There is still a large body of fish north of us made up of slammer blues and good size bass so don't despair the fall run in our area is far from over. Just keep up the pressure and you will be rewarded for your efforts... Fishing Report

Well things have slowed down a bit from the past few days. Still there are some quality fish being  taken from the beaches and boats. Bunker remains the key bait for the present time so chunking from the beach and snag and drop from the boats are the way to go, but not the only way. Swimming plugs, SP minnow style and larger metal lipped swimmers are landing some real nice fish from the surf. While large bunker spoons trolled on wire line are taking there fair share of trophy size fish... John Yac

Fishing Report

Hot - Hot - Hot!  Barley describes the bass action over the last few days. Striped bass from 12 lbs. to 40 plus lbs. have been finding their way to local scales. Huge schools of bunker are moving up and down our coastline with hungry bass and blues on their tails. The boats are taking the lions share of these fish due to the location of the bait schools just out of reach of the shore bound angler. But when the bunker does come within casting range you better be ready with a bunker snag and hold on! For the anglers not wanting to get caught up in the bunker frenzy, SP minnows and large metal lipped swimmers are doing the trick in the artificial department... John Yac
