The Latest and Most Relevant Fishing Updates You Should Know

Going to be a nice day after a cool start. Short bass continue to roam the shore line in our area with blue fish anywhere from 2 to 10 lbs in the bay behind IBSP. Clams seem to be the ticket on the bass out front while poppers and metals are taking the blues in the bay. Spring?? The calendar may say so, but you body sure doesn't believe it! I've been fishing IBSP the past couple of days to get a look at the shore line and to see first hand what's up. The beach and cuts look good throughout the whole stretch and driving on the beach in the spring is always a pleasure before the heavy traffic chews up the place. I didn't do much on artificials but when I dunked a clam in all those good looking spots it was a different story. The bass were all shorts but quality healthy fish  never the less. We seem to be off to a slow start but as you know it can change on a dime. Blues in mixed sizes have been reported in the bay behind the park. Great to see some bass being taken both off the surf and in the back bay again. Swimming plugs along with clams are doing the trick on the ocean side while it seems to be mostly worms back behind the shop. Shop hours for this coming weekend will be 6 AM to 6PM Saturday and Sunday. As far as set weekday hours right now give us a call before you come... John Yac

A belated Happy New Year! to all our customers from the crew at the Dock Outfitters. 2015 is going to be a great year, I just feel it in my bones. We will be doing a couple of fishing flee markets starting in mid Jan thru the show season. I'll keep you posted with the dates and times as soon as I can.
