The fluke in the surf must know they have less than 30 days to go for this years season. They are making themselves quite available as of lately, buck tail jigs tipped with gulp remains the number one method of catching these great tasting fish but cut strip baits are also producing. There are still some small blues in the surf just to mix things up a bit. We should see mullet soon the first sign the fall run is getting underway... John Yac

The weather this week will make you feel like it's the middle of summer, but it's time to put in some serious thinking and preparation for the fall fishing that's just around the corner. Fishing Report

If you are headed out to due some surf fishing today make sure you bring the big sticks and a few heavy sinkers. Large swells and strong rip currents will be with us today due to the tropical storm Cristobal making it's way on a slow northeastward track. Remember to always use extra caution with this type of surf condition, but the pounding wave action and white water it creates will entice game fish to feed. Crabbing has been improving daily both from our dock and rental boats. Snappers and now blow fish are also being taken in the bay... John Yac
