Crabbing is a little slow off the Dock but there are plenty of fish aro9nd to keep you interested between checking the lines... Snapper blues, kingfish, blowfish and other asst bottom dwellers are here in good numbers... Word from the beaches is that the kingfish bite is on in Lavalette, Ortley and IBSP... Clams have been the bait of choice for our customers...JOhn

The fluke weigh ins from the surf continue everyday. Most of the fish are from 18 to 21 inches. Gulp! baits seem to be working the best. The kingfish are also very abundant out front. These babies are perfect for the frying pan. We also just received a shipment of fresh bunker in. The crabbing in our area has improved in the last few days. There are still plenty of snappers and spot around the docks to keep the kids busy as well. Get out there and get in on some of the action. Scott

With yesterday's crazy weather there was little doing from the surf scene. The crabs from the dock remained steady for those willing to crab around the storm. John Yac

Now that our Father's Day obligations are over and we can get back to fishing. Light southerly winds today should change the surf out of that easterly mode it's been in for a week. Still some keeper bass in the surf along with a mix of different size blues. Bait and metal with teaser tails seem to be the trick. The bay still has schools of small blues on the prowl. The crabbing has slowed a bit from the hot and heavy mode we were enjoying for a couple of weeks. Snapper blues although small are starting to show there faces at the dock. John Yac

Another beautiful morning here in Seaside Heights. Light NE winds and sunshine... Small blues continue to provide lots of opportunities for anglers in the bay and from the sand.... The crabbing off the pier has slowed but the boats were still doing decent... I'll post an update later in the day...
