Fishing Report

The fish are still willing so why aren't you? Reports from the dedicated surf guys, who never say die was, a lot of fish in close yesterday chasing ava's with teasers and even SP style swimmers. These fish were at their feet and were from 12" to 26" and almost as round as they are long. They may not be keepers but fun to catch never the less especially on lighter tackle... John Yac

Fishing Report

You can thank the sand eels for the late season bass action. The bite continues with short to keeper bass chasing Ava's with teasers out front. How long this action will continue no one knows. Will the sand eels disappear taking the bass with them, or will the surf guys cave in to the cold air temps and inclement weather? My guess is the surf guys will give up first! Judging by the amount of anglers coming into the shop now, many have put their surf gear away for another season. We will be cutting our hours of operation in the shop to Wednesday thru Sunday 6AM to 6PM. I will keep you posted on any future changes... John Yac

Outstanding bite in our area yesterday of short to the occasional keeper bass in the surf. These fish were taking just about anything resembling a sand eel. One of our customers reported a record day, 34 fish including two 28 inch plus fish, all were released. His hot lure was a SavageAR sand eel that the bass just couldn't pass up.
