More of the same yesterday out front, small blues on cut mullet. The surprise yesterday came from our dock out back. You heard of the old adage, "wind in your face, fish at your feet", well it came true yesterday when a couple of anglers were fishing cut baits into a good stiff southerly wind out back. There efforts were rewarded by a 18", 20" and a 28" bass about late morning, not too shabby! Crabbers were hard pressed to get 4 to 5 keeper crabs for there efforts... John Yac

Small blues and mullet sums up the surf action right now. There are tons of small blues up and down our beaches right now with plenty of fresh mullet for them to feed on. Cut mullet fished on a float rig or just a plain old hi-lo rig will due the trick on these earing machines. Not into cut bait? Small swimmers small poppers and small metals will also put you in the action... John Yac

Still plenty of small blues out there. With great weather and bait present in the surf, this weekend should be good enjoy a little surf action. The bigger fish will be here soon, but don't sit at home waiting for the phone to ring. Diligence and perseverance is the keys to success in surf fishing, just ask any top notch surf angler. We still have a few boats in the water for the weekend for those who like to take one last shot at crabbing!... John Yac

Don't let this early rain discourage you one bit! It's going to clear out early AM and with NW winds and incoming tide this morning surf fishing conditions should be ideal. Fresh mullet, fresh bunker and live eels are all in stock for your fishing needs. They are still taking keeper crabs out back off the dock along with snapper blues and small blowfish... John Yac

Plenty of bait, a good amount of small blues, and the numbers of short bass increasing daily. The surf conditions are good with a light to moderate NE wind in the forecast for today. Not many surfcasters out there taking advantage of some early fall action. We are expecting our first delivery of LIVE EELS today which we will have in stock through the rest of the season. FRESH MULLET and GREEN CRABS are also in stock... John Yac
