Fishing Report

Blood worms, clams and small jigs are doing the trick on the spring run striped bass in the bay. The shorts still outnumber the keepers but the action is steady. The west side of the bay seems to be better while the east side is holding it's own. The fisherman are counting the days till winter flounder season anticipating some nice size flat-ties. The shop hours remain 7 AM - 2PM this coming weekend and many in store specials are still available...John Yac

Fishing Report

Sure was great to see some of our old friends at the Berkley show. For a brief second it made us almost forget about Sandy (I said almost!!) but not quite, we all still traded horror stories and bright hopes for the up and coming season. The fish seem as nothing has happened and reports of striped bass being caught in the usual bay hot spots are being reported daily. Small lures and worms seem to be doing the trick. The shop will be running a 20% off on spooling up your reels both with Power Pro or mono along with weekly in store tackle specials. Early season operating hours will be Fri - Sat - Sun for the time being with store hours expanding shortly...John Yac

Cafe and Tackle Shop Update!

We are just about 2 weeks away from out cafe being 100% up and running. We will post the exact day as soon as we can. As far as the tackle shop goes look for us to be open as of March 1st for the back bay striped bass season, live worms and clams will be available. We will be having another custom and manufactured rod sale, watch for details. Still a great time to have a custom rod made for the spring, you can contact our rod builder [email protected] to set up a time to go over the exact rod for you. It's been a extra ruff off season thanks to Sandy this year and wetting a line and having some great food with friends is just what we all need.
