Bay Report Friday

Ray Linn and I ran my tinboat down to the BB buoy this morning... Started chumming and had fish right away. Caught 60-80 fish at least but no blowfish, mostly croakers, snapper blues, spots and sea bass... The last hour or so to our surprise produced 16+ weakfish to 18" all caught on clam strips... Get out this weekend and enjoy some bay fishing and a few nice fish dinners too...John

FRESH MULLET ARE IN!!!! Well the mullet run has officially started. Grab your throw nets and rods and head down to the beach. Now that our "local" summer has started it a great time to head back to the empty beaches. Then a variety of species to keep you busy out there. Cocktail blues, fluke, and kingfish still seem to be the dominant species out there but the bonita, albacore or other speedsters can show up at any time. Scott

The weather forecast kept the boaters and crabbers away this morning but those who showed up after the storm did well. Blowfish, spot, kingfish and snappers were all around the dock. Mario

Fishing Report

Not a day for the faint of heart? But let's analyze the situation. The blue fish, fluke, and king fish remain active in the surf with sizes of fluke increasing daily. So put on your rain gear, grab some fresh cut bait or the usual small metals, bucktails and gulp and hit the beach. The temperature is still mild and the fish don't mind being wet! John Yacc
