Crabbing remains slower with boats catching anywhere from 8-18 crabs.. Blowfish in the bay is excellent with many anglers catching them from our Dock and bigger, better catches being made @ the BB and BI buoys. In addition there are tons of croakers, some weakfish, kingfish and snappers blues keeping anglers happy... .. Fluking off SSH- Ortley area has been of fire with limit catches the norm...

Crabbing is still a little slow but the blowfish and snappers are keeping everyone busy on the dock who is fishing for them.
More keeper fluke are coming off the surf.

Blowfishing is the name of the game the last few days over here at the dock. The little puffers are chewing their heads off attacking small bits of clams. Spots and pinfish are also taking the baits. There was also a black drum around 5lbs taken from the dock this morning. Fluke fishing has been great off the beaches and the casino pier area. Bucktails tipped with Gulp! baits have seem to be doing the best. The brown sharks are still being caught at night on fresh bunker chunks as well. Scott

We sure seem to be having our own shark week lately. The night bite from our local beaches have been producing some nice fighting brown sharks with a few other species mixed in. Cut fresh bunker is always the sure way to go. Daylight fishing with cut baits and small metal are still producing king fish, fluke, croakers and snapper blues. Crabbing is starting to improve somewhat from our dock and boats. John Yac
Fishing Report

Fishing in the surf has been steady for this time of year with the usual cast of players. King fish seem to have the leading role with small blues next in line, the rest of the cast are fluke and several species of sharks. Cut bait is your ticket to this production with small metals mixed in. The bay seems to be putting on it's own show with a slightly larger cast. Small weakfish, spot, blow fish, and small black drum along with snapper blues round off their cast. Again small cut baits and small metals will do the trick. The crabbing both from our dock and boats still remain a working game with patience and time spent paying some dividends. John Yac
