The phenomenal crabbing has finally slowed to a pick after Monday's full moon.. Look for the crabbing to improve again by mid to late in the week... Plenty of cocktail blues and hickory shad in the surf for those anglers throwing metals and poppers and a few fluke are also being taken from the sand...John

The oceanfront is again giving up large bass as evidenced by the 42# and 36# fish we just weighed in. Most of the bass are being caught from the kayaks and from the pier... The sand is providing anglers with good catches of small blues on metals and poppers and some fluke have finally started to show up.. Crabbing in the bay continues to be fantastic!!!

Yesterdays fishing was consistent with what has been happening. The kayak boys had a early quick bite off Ortley beach area with a 37 lb and a 34 lb bass coming across our scale. The surf gave up some nice keepers both on clams and bunker chunks, with a 8.5 lb blue fish coming out of Island Beach state park on bunker. The bay is giving up some nice 2-3 lb blue fish and the blue claw crabs are starting to show up in the pots. John Yac

Crabbing from the Dock and rental boats is very good this morning.. One customer on the Dock is still crabbing with 36 keepers... Two of our rental boats also came back in with a full bucket of crabs each... Bluefish finally showed in decent numbers west of the BB buoy last evening...

Its a beautiful day out there so where is everyone? The wind is straight out of the northwest and the sun is out. Great conditions . We have fresh bunker and plenty of clams. High tide will be around a quarter to noon. Get out there and give it a try. Scott
