Every surf fisherman in our area has to know by now that the fall run started off with a bang! The long Nor'easter surely got the bunker schools on the move with the big girls in hot in pursuit. When the schools of bunker are within casting range fishing whole or cut bunker will get you hooked up. Metal lipped swimmers, large poppers, polaris and pencil styles will all gain the the feeding fish's attention.

FYI: The Dock Cafe fall hours are Thurs. thru Mon. for breakfast and lunch.

Fishing Report

Surf conditions after the big nor'easter are almost back to normal. Still a bit dirty, with some extra white water around. Our local beaches didn't take the beating everyone expected, if anything some extra nice cuts were added. One more day should do the trick and it should be business as usual. Lets keep our fingers crossed that some bait moves back in and the fish just to our north slide down!

Fishing Report

The fall run is off to a good start! Schools of mullet are running the beaches with blues and a few bass hot on their trail. Albies are also in the mix as they move in and out of casting range. Fluke season is closed now but there are some nice kingfish still available. Today's forecast looks favorable for giving the surf a go. High tide is at 10:09 AM in our area. The weekend seems iffy though due to the remnants of Ian being off our coast.
