Blues have moved in both in the bay and out front in the surf. Cut bunker is the number one bait for these fish. There are still reports of small bass taking clams out front when conditions are right. Crabs are starting to make there appearance off our dock and in some local overnight traps.…

The back bay is still the place to try for early season action. Reports of small blues and small bass have been coming in from the sedge island areas behind IBSP and also Oyster Creek has been producing. We just got a delivery in of FRESH CLAMS and nice size blood worms! The weather looks great for the weekend…

Small striped bass reported in the surf. Reports of small bass being taken on small rubber jigs, teasers, and buck tails came into the shop recently. These fish are spread out along the surf line in decent numbers so why not give them a shot and put a bend in your rod… John Yac

Things are starting to happen. Small bass are taking worms, clams and small swimming plugs on night tides. The shop is carrying blood worms, fresh and salted clams and a verity of frozen baits including local spearing. Don’t forget to renew your saltwater registration for 2016.
