Fishing Report

The number of bass and blue fish being caught on our local beaches are on the rise. Seems to still be a bait only out front while some small swimmers and jigs are working in the back bay areas. Fresh bunker, clams and sand worms along with a full line of frozen baits are available in our shop...John Yac

Some bass and blues were taken from Island Beach yesterday on clams and bunker. Fresh bait still seems to be the way to go and we have plenty of fresh bunker and clams as well as frozen baits for your needs.
There was a good bite on the cocktail blues yesterday afternoon and last night in the back. Cut bunker was what was working with guys getting 5 - 10 blues apiece.

Hard to avoid sounding like a broken record but fishing remains the same on our local beaches. Fresh clams and fresh cut bunker are accounting for the lion's share of bass and blue fish being caught. Still no word on fish being taken on plugs or metal as of yet..John Yac

Bring some rain gear with you today, Island Beach State Park is still producing some nice bass and blue fish on clams and cut bunker. Winds are still out of the east so 6 plus ozs is the way to go. No fish as far as we know on plugs but that should change as water temps increase. The bay remains a slow pick of blue fish and bass on cut bunker and worms...John Yac

Short bass with some keepers mixed in are hitting clams and bunker in the surf. One customer had 5 shorts and a 31" keeper. A few blues were also caught on various metals yesterday afternoon.
The back is still producing blues which are hitting mostly on bunker. We have clams and fresh bunker in stock as well as an assortment of frozen baits to fill your needs.
