Not much has changed! Fluke remain the number one target in the surf and back bays and inlets. Small blues and the occasional small bass are always possible. Spot have made their appearance in the bay from local piers, snapper blues should be in soon. Crabbing is decent with better catches coming in off our boats.

Fishing for fluke remains good both in the surf and back bay. Crabbing is also good from local docks and piers and even better from boats where you have the option to hit several spots.

Fluke fishing remains consistent along our beaches! Blue fish and a few bass are also present. Remember the new striped bass regulations went in to effect July 2nd, it reads- 1 fish 28" to 31" only!! Smaller and larger fish must be released unharmed. Inline circle hooks for bait must still be used. Crabbing in the bay is improving daily.

Independence weekend (4th of July) spells crowds at the Jersey shore! Stay safe and enjoy the local festivities on the boardwalks and beaches. For the fisherman, both first light and last light will give you the beaches somewhat to yourselves. Fluke remain the number one target with blues and some small straggler bass still around. Crabbing is improving by the day at the local piers and bulkheads.

Fluke have taken over the number one spot in the surf right now. Blues are still in the mix with a sprinkling of striped bass hear and there. The number one method, by far, for the fluke remains buck tail jigs tipped with gulp. The blues and the few bass that are still around are falling to poppers and swimmers at first light and various cut baits through out the day. Back bay crabbing is starting to heat up.
