Yesterday was on the slow side as far as reports go. Today’s conditions are much more favorable for surf fishing so grab some fresh mullet and clams along with some artificial lures such as small metals,swimming plugs and poppers and hit the beach. More and more bass are finding their way to the scales each day as the water temps cool. One of our regulars Phil G. had two nice bass mid day on clams yesterday in the Ortley Beach area. Although we could have some rain today the air temperature and SW winds will be very fishable.…

Small bass being picked dawn and dusk while small blues on rain fish and spearing during daylight hours is whats happening right now. The ocean water temperatures continue to drop with the cooler evenings. We still have some great fall fishing rod and reel combos left so come on in and check them out. John…

Ortley beach was the hot spot for all the small blues you could want… They were hitting Metals, poppers, and mullet. Fished ranged in size from snapper blues to 2 lbers… Bass are also being caught during low light hours by fishermen throwing mambos and asst small plugs…John

Still nice sized blues and bass chasing peanut bunker in the Toms River. The bite continues to be right before dark. Small poppers and live peanuts are producing very well. Cocktail blues were the ticket today on the beach this afternoon.. Metal and fresh mullet was the way to go. Mario

Just got in a load of fresh mullet… We had good reports from the few fishermen that did get out this morning… Jeff Vogt caught a 27″ bass on a plug this morning and a few others reported catching blues @ Kittywake and at IBSP!!! …John

Not many people on the dock today but a handful of blowfish were caught. There are nice sized blues in the river chasing peanut bunker and the bite still seems to be right before dark. Reports of some short bass caught on IBSP as well as some blues. Mario

Blue fish on mullet and some small bass on swimming plugs is the status of surf fishing right now. With the cooler air temperatures the water is cooling off nicely the fall bass run is just around the corner. Great time to stop by the shop and check out our great prices on  fall rod…

Bait bait and more bait that was this mornings surf condition. Blue fish and small bass are being picked on mullet, clams, and small artificial lures. As far as the bay goes small snapper blues and some blow fish are still being caught. John Yac.

Just in Fresh large Peanut Bunker!!! In addition we have fresh mullet, Bunker, clams and live eels in for the weekend. We will be open ALL NIGHT Saturday October 6th for those who want to hit the surf early for the Governor’s tournament on Sunday October 7th…. GOOD LUCK TO ALL PARTICIPANTS THIS WEEKEND!
