Small to medium size blues on the back side of IBSP. While the local bridges in our area are holding small to med size striped bass on night tides. We have FRESH bunker and FRESH clams along with nice size blood worms… John Yac P.S.>>>>>> KEEPER CRABS being caught from our dock today!! Wow!!

The back bay is still the place to try for early season action. Reports of small blues and small bass have been coming in from the sedge island areas behind IBSP and also Oyster Creek has been producing. We just got a delivery in of FRESH CLAMS and nice size blood worms! The weather looks great for the weekend…

Small striped bass reported in the surf. Reports of small bass being taken on small rubber jigs, teasers, and buck tails came into the shop recently. These fish are spread out along the surf line in decent numbers so why not give them a shot and put a bend in your rod… John Yac

A brisk weather start to the season but with the proper dress there is no problem. Winter flounder fishing has been a pick in all the usual hot spots. And believe it or not a few keeper crabs were taken Easter Sunday off the dock. The surf is quiet right now but that will change…

The bay and rivers have been producing some short to keeper bass, while winter flounder in our area remains a slow pick. The good flounder action seems to be at the Mantoloking bridge area right now. Small plugs, jigs and worms are working on the bass. Worms and plenty of chum is the way to…

Things are starting to happen. Small bass are taking worms, clams and small swimming plugs on night tides. The shop is carrying blood worms, fresh and salted clams and a verity of frozen baits including local spearing. Don’t forget to renew your saltwater registration for 2016.

Here we are January 2nd 2016 and were still talking keeper bass!, unbelievable. Yes the past three days have seen at least 5 keeper bass hit the scales in our area. These fish have all been 30 plus inch fish and taken on bait and lures alike. So if you haven’t put your rods away…
